The 2023-2024 Premier League season is set to kick off on Saturday, August 12th, and there is a lot of excitement around the league. Manchester City are the defending champions but will face stiff competition from Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United.

Premier League Week 1 Predictions 2023-2024

Burnley vs. Manchester City

Manchester City will be looking to start their title defense with a win against newly promoted Burnley. The Clarets will be tough to beat at Turf Moor, but I expect City to come away with the three points.

The Blues will field the newly signed Croatian monster, Jasko Gvaridol alongside his countrymen and ex-Chelsea starlet, Kovacic, both set for their Man City Debut.

City 2-1 Burnley

Arsenal vs. Nottingham Forest

Arsenal will be eager to make a statement in their first game after winning the Community Shield. Mikel Arteta has transformed the Gunners and made them belief again. Arsenal have invested heavily this season by signing Declan Rice, Jurrian Tember, and Kai Havertz.

Nottingham Forest survived last season and is one of the hot teams to go down this season. They have beaten Arsenal in the previous season. I expect Arsenal to win this game.

Arsenal 3-0 Forest

Bournemouth vs. West Ham United

This is a tough one to call. West Ham have lost their most important player, Declan Rice, and need to rethink their midfield. They are the current Europa Conference League Champions. They are on the verge of signing Man Utd captain, Harry Maguire. West Ham are currently losing their mainstays, so can struggle in the opening few matches.

Bournemouth is an unpredictable team and is capable of taking a point away from the Hammers.

I’m going to go for a draw.

Bournemouth 1-1 West Ham

Latest Post

Brighton vs. Luton Town

Brighton will be looking to build on their impressive finish to last season. Luton Town are newly promoted, but they will be no pushovers. I think Brighton will win this one comfortably.

Luton Town will score in their Premier League debut match but will be battered in their opening match. The London Club will definitely be geared up and hope to upset the mighty Seagulls.

Brighton 4-1 Luton

Everton vs. Fulham

Everton will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2022-2023 season. Fulham are also looking to improve on their last campaign, but I think Everton will have too much for them.

Everton has been poor for the past few seasons with many believing them to go down this season. They are suffering from bad board decisions and poor performances. Fulham started strong last season but later run out of steam in the second half of the premier league.

Everton 2-0 Fulham

Sheffield United vs. Crystal Palace

Sheffield United are hoping to avoid a repeat of their relegation last premier league season. Crystal Palace is always a tough team to beat, but I think the Blades will edge this one.

Sheffield United 1-0 Palace

Newcastle United vs. Aston Villa

Newcastle United and Aston Villa both have spent big in the summer, they will be looking to make a statement in their first game. This game will be a tactical masterclass with both the manager Howe and Emery. Unai Emery had a great impact on Villa with them nearly securing the Europa League places. Eddie Howe is excellent since joining Newcastle.

Aston Villa are also a strong side, but I think Newcastle will have too much for them.

Newcastle 2-1 Villa

Brentford vs. Tottenham Hotspur

This is a very interesting game. Brentford are one of the surprise packages of the Premier League, and they will be looking to cause an upset against Tottenham.

Spurs are also a strong side, but I think Brentford will have the edge in this one.

Brentford 1-0 Tottenham

Chelsea vs. Liverpool (Premier League Week 1 – Best Match)

The game of the weekend! Chelsea and Liverpool are two of the best teams in the Premier League, and this is sure to be a close game. Both the teams have invested heavily in the transfer window, and look to stamp their authority in the opening match.

I think it will be a draw, but it could go either way.

Chelsea 1-1 Liverpool

Manchester United vs. Wolves

Manchester United will be looking to build on their strong finish to last season under new manager Erik ten Hag. Wolves are also a strong side, but I think United will have too much for them at Old Trafford.

United 2-1 Wolves

The Premier League is the most-watched league in the World. Arsenal, City, Chelsea, and Liverpool alongside Man Utd will be looking to stamp their authority in their opening match.

These are just my predictions for Week 1 of the Premier League. It will be interesting to see how things unfold, and I’m sure there will be some surprises along the way.
